ActewAGL Retail’s Brand and Marketing team has a unique and exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, collaborative and analytical individual with a passion for delivering high quality customer experience through your extensive and diverse experience across all facets of marketing and communications.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be part of a multi-discipline brand, marketing and communications team that includes ActewAGL’s external marketing partner. You will play a key role in supporting alignment, cohesiveness and efficiency between internal business units and the external marketing partner, sharing relevant and timely information and owning outcomes to ensure marketing and communications initiatives are executed seamlessly.
With a service mindset and strong stakeholder management skills, this role helps to unify the team, streamline communication and provide efficiency in delivering optimal outcomes for ActewAGL and its customers to ensure we remain a leader in the energy arena and meet our key objectives:
- New customer acquisition
- Customer retention and cross-sell
- Brand awareness and recall
- Brand health and customer satisfaction
A day in the life of the role
Some of the things you can expect to do, but not be limited to, are:
- Assist our external marketing partner with the end-to-end execution of effective, concurrent, multi-channel marketing activity, online and offline, for commodity and non-commodity products to grow market position and achieve commercial goals.
- Support the creation and delivery of marketing communications assets to suite various marketing media channels.
- Oversee our significant suite of customer letters/emails across products, services and customer management correspondence, including authoring and editing of letters as required.
- Develop an intimate knowledge of the ActewAGL website and end-to-end content flow, authoring agreed new and updated content to support marketing campaign delivery and customer and regulatory communications requirements, while maintaining a keen UX focus.
- Ensure adequate integration of marketing and communications activity across our operations, so responses to calls-to-action are managed effectively to ensure delivery of a high-quality customer experience and maximise results for the business.
- Input to the design and build of customer nurture journeys through ActewAGL’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring workflows and automation support marketing campaigns, customer communication and sales enablement.

About you
- You have tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or a related discipline and/or at least five years of experience in similar roles.
- You have a strong understanding of the key drivers of success of customer and marketing communications and their impact on customer acquisition, experience, satisfaction and retention.
- You possess extensive experience in creating and managing customer and marketing communications.
- You have exceptional written communications skills and attention to detail.
- You have demonstrated experience coordinating end-to-end delivery of multi-channel marketing activity, online and offline, with a focus on continuous improvement and optimisation.
- You have a good understanding of the principles of customer and campaign journey mapping and marketing automation.
- You have proven experience managing relationships with diverse stakeholders, internally and externally, ensuring the seamless flow of accurate information, the delivery of outcomes and the fostering of teamwork.
- You demonstrate critical thinking to identify information gaps, and proactively seek answers to help complete the picture, to support marketing and communications delivery and ensure customer experience expectations are met or exceeded.
- You have hands-on experience using a Content Management System to author and edit website content.
