About the role

As a Senior Engineer, you will build and deliver world-class Android apps, providing technical leadership across the Coles Digital business. You will liaise with our Heads of Engineering, Managers, and Technical Leads working to uplift the digital experience of Coles customers.  

Some of your key accountabilities will be:

  • Participates in engineering team to develop delivery goals within agreed timelines
  • Participates in agile scrum practices within the team, offer support to delivery managers in defining timelines and project requirements
  • Ensure software is developed in-line with the broader teams’ quality expectations
  • Participate in peer reviews and testing standards
  • Help to empower and develop the engineering team’s skills
  • Help facilitate training, ensure all engineers are meeting needs and gaining help to close gaps
  • Help grow a culture that elicits a high-performing team and a fun working environment

About you and your skills

Some of the things we are looking for:

  • Software engineer with at least 4 years’ experience in Android development using Kotlin.
  • Experienced at leading solution design and implementation of features for Android applications
  • Experienced working in Agile Scrum processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Experience with a cloud environment desirable, ideally Azure
