Join a leading organization committed to technological innovation and excellence. We are looking for a skilled Delivery Manager - Engineering to lead the charge in delivering cutting-edge IT solutions and driving innovation across our platforms. 

The Delivery Manager - Engineering is a pivotal role in our Technology team, responsible for delivering and contributing to the IT Strategy and roadmap for emerging technologies at Coles. You will provide thought leadership, manage program delivery, and develop MVP solutions. Your leadership will be key in fostering a high-performing team, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that innovation platforms are aligned with our strategic objectives. 

Key Responsibilities 

• IT Strategy & Roadmap:?Contribute to the development and execution of the IT Strategy, focusing on emerging technologies like AI, computer vision, edge and IoT. 
• Program Delivery:?Lead the delivery of tech spikes, prototypes, and MVP solutions, ensuring alignment with broader business goals. 
• Innovation Platforms:?Oversee the development and operation of innovation platforms, setting standards and maximizing value delivery. 
• Team Leadership:?Manage a team of 10-20 people, developing their capabilities in line with our company values. 
• Vendor Management:?Lead vendor engagements and drive procurement decisions, ensuring third-party services meet our high standards. 
• Stakeholder Collaboration:?Work closely with business stakeholders to prioritize and schedule project pipelines.

• Various Technology Functions (e.g., Info Security) 

Required Experience & Qualifications 

• Proven experience in scoping, building, and delivering new solutions such as innovative PoCs and MVPs. 
• Domain knowledge in emerging technologies (e.g., AI, computer vision, edge & IoT). 
• Experience in IT strategy delivery and agile project management. 
• Strong background in managing large teams and complex projects. 
• Expertise in design thinking, DevOps, and innovation frameworks. 
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills. 
• Graduate degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science or similar; a Master’s degree in Business is preferred. 
• Previous experience in data engineering, data science or machine learning preferred.
