The Role
Our Lenah Valley site in Hobart manufactures a range of more than 60 milk, milk-based and cream products, with all products made from fresh milk sourced directly from Tasmanian dairy farms. The site currently produces around 40 million litres of product every year, operating 6 days a week and employing around 50 people.
The role is to drive internal and external resources, and scheduling /assigning work to meet short and long term reliability strategies with a strong focus on lean manufacturing principles
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance for effective repairs and implement proactive initiatives to prevent future issues.
- Utilize reliability resources efficiently, manage contractors, and engage expert assistance for major breakdowns and root cause analysis.
- Facilitate equipment and process changes to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all contractors comply with Bega’s safety policies and site processes, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Provide guidance to Automation Process Control Improvements - Implement automation process control improvements to streamline operations and increase efficiency
About you
- People management experience – small to medium team
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent level of reliability management experience
- Effectively influence and collaborate with team members and stakeholders to achieve maintenance and reliability goals.
- Strong functional, technical capability
- FMCG Experience or similar is highly regarded
