Vouchers boost Victorian tech research
A Victorian Government funding boost should lead to some innovative new technologies, with 8 groups set to get a payout of up to $50 000.
The Government is handing out a round of its Technology Development Vouchers, part of an 8 million dollar program geared to help companies develop, adapt or adopt new products and processes using industrial biotechnology, small technologies and ICT.
The recipients in this round include a company with an improved design for shipping container floors, a company that’s developing a large LED camera flash and a group using remote sensors and monitors to improve milk production.
"We have also established a searchable directory of Technology Capabilities and Suppliers, listing companies and organisations that can provide services to voucher applicants... the directory includes more than 180 Technology Voucher Program listed suppliers and enables users to easily connect applicant needs with supplier capabilities," Minister for Technology Gordon Rich-Phillips said.
Applications for the next round of voucher awards are open now, more info on applying for the Technology Development Vouchers program is available at www.business.vic.gov.au/tvp
