Analysts at BloombergNEF have issued a report on Australia's progress in its green energy transition.

The nation is struggling to meet its 2030 emissions reduction and renewable energy targets, with the investment pace in large-scale solar, wind, and new transmission described as "sluggish, slow, and anaemic."

Bllomberg says several factors are hindering progress: lengthy planning approvals, slow grid connections, supply chain issues, rising construction costs, and social licence problems.

Political and media attacks, alongside delays in the federal government's Capacity Investment Scheme, add to the difficulties.
