Senate establishes skill shortage inquiry
The Federal Government has announced the formation of a Senate inquiry into the growing demand for infrastructure delivery and shortage of appropriate engineering and trade related skills in the country.
The inquiry has been tasked with considering the implications of a shortfall in supply of necessary skills in infrastructure delivery and the impacts it will have on economic development, cost, efficiency, safety and disputation.
The committee will conduct the inquiry into the possible methods used to country the growing skills shortage in engineers and related trades needed for infrastructure delivery.
The Senate Education, Employment and Workplace relations Committees will carry out the inquiry.
