Bankstown advanced manufacturer Quickstep has won a contract valued between $75 million and $100 million to make carbon fibre wing flaps for C130J Hercules military transport aircraft.

 

The exclusive five year contract with Lockheed Martin will create over 60 jobs at Quickstep’s new advanced manufacturing facility at Bankstown Airport.

 

Quickstep is currently relocating its operations from Western  Australia and establishing a state of the art carbon fibre manufacturing facility at Bankstown  Airport.

 

South West Sydney offers the scale, resources, facilities and, most importantly, the skilled workforce needed for large aerospace contracts.

 

The C130J Hercules contract will be Quickstep's second major aerospace win for its new Bankstown facility.

 

Last year Quickstep announced a 22-year contract with Northrop Grumman worth up to $700 million to manufacture up to 16 different parts for the international F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter program, the world’s largest military program.
