NSW introduces Infrastructure NSW legislation
Legislation has been introduced to the NSW Parliament to establish Infrastructure NSW , a statutory agency that will deliver co-ordinate infrastructure planning across the whole of government.
With an independent Chair, the board of Infrastructure NSW will comprise five people appointed from the private sector, along with the agency' s CEO, the Director Generals of the Department of Premier and Cabinet, Trade, Investment, Regional Infrastructure and Services, and Planning and Infrastructure and the Secretary of the Treasury.
The Board will direct and oversee the preparation of a 20-year State Infrastructure Strategy for NSW, along with detailed 5-year Infrastructure plans that set out the details of projects, and sequencing and funding arrangements in the NSW Budget.
