John Holland wins Holsworthy work
Construction contractor John Holland has announced it ahs been awarded a $148 million sub-contract as part of the $870 million Moorebank Units Relocation (MUR) at the Australian Defence Force’s Holsworthy Army Barracks.
John Holland will provide preparatory works for the MUR project, including bulk earth-works, construction of building pads, and installation of in-ground services infrastructure as well as construction works for roads, pavements and retaining walls.
John Holland Group Managing Director, Glenn Palin, said the project continues the company’s proud tradition of working on Defence projects.
“We have a long history with the Department of Defence, involving projects valued at more than one billion dollars over the past three years, including recent projects at Kapooka in NSW and Enoggera in Queensland,” he said.
“John Holland’s skills on these types of projects are proven, particularly in bulk earthworks and in-ground infrastructure installation. We have demonstrated these skills on numerous past projects, including the Holsworthy Special Operations Working Accommodation project which was completed on the same base in 2008.”
