The Queensland Government has released the Expression of Interest (EOI) for the new Broadwater Marine Project on the Godl Coast.

The EOI seeks the delivery of a cruise ship terminal as part of what the State Government calls an integrated tourism development on State Government-owned land on the Spit or Wavebreak Island.

The facility is expected to include a hotel, casino, marina and super yaught facilities, retail, entertainment, hospitality, community open space and recreation facilities.

Minister for State Development, Jeff Seeney, said the Government is calling on local, national and international consortia to submit their ideas and designs for the project.

EOI submissions close on 31 January 2013 after which a shortlist will be determined, followed by a Request for Detailed Proposal phase and then announcement of a successful bidder by around mid-2013.

Consortia can register for the EOI documentation at www.dsdip.qld.gov.au/broadwater
