BHP Billiton awards Norfolk $82 million contract
BHP Billiton has awarded Norfolk Group its $82 million contract for rail signaling systems at the mining giant’s Port Hedland project.
Norfolk Group has been contracted to design and install a series of new and modified signaling systems for BHP Billiton’s Pilbara iron ore port.
Norfolk Group’s electrical engineering subsidiary, O’Donnell Griffin, will be delivering the works and will deliver software and hardware required for the work,
The work is anticipated to employ 200 people, with O’Donnell Griffin partnering with GE to deliver the required work.
