As a Sustainability graduate, you will be working with an integral team that is responsible for Kmart and Target’s continuous product improvement, emissions reduction in our own operations and the supply chain, sustainability reporting as well as ad hoc strategic projects. 

About the program

Commencing in February 2025, our 18-month program consists of several rotations within the Sustainability function which may include areas such as:

  • Sustainability reporting (NGERS, GHG Protocol, Annual Reporting) 
  • Emissions reduction initiatives in Scope 3 (supply chain) 
  • Product improvement (recycled content, recyclability and design) 

During the program, you will take part in practical and meaningful work that has a huge impact on our customers and will allow you to grow your career through a personalized learning program. You’ll be fully supported along this journey and work alongside and learn from experts in the industry. 

About you

We’re looking for graduates to join the team who are driven, curious and bring a continuous improvement mindset! Ideally, you will have a university degree in an applicable field (for example, engineering, economics, IT, science or sustainability) a curious temperament, and a systems mindset. This is an opportunity to evolve your capacity to drive change in a large organizational environment!

To be eligible for our 2025 program you’ll

  • Have either Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent residency (at the time of submitting this application)
  • Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the past 3 years (i.e. 2022, 2023 or 2024) or are due to complete your degree by the end of January 2025
  • Be able to commence full time employment in Melbourne in February 2025
