Job Description

As an Instrument and Electrical Asset Engineer working within the Reliability team at the Geelong Refinery, you will directly support our Asset teams as the first port of call for Instrument and Electrical Engineering support.?You will respond to equipment breakdown with our maintenance team and provide condition based repair and replacement scopes. In addition, you’ll provide technical assistance to our Asset teams to:

  • Troubleshoot instrument and electrical issues.
  • Investigate incidents using RCA and other engineering techniques.
  • Manage compliance to our instrument and electrical safeguarding testing regimes.
  • Lead small plant changes and projects and represent the Asset team as a technical stakeholder on large projects.
  • Develop and execute maintenance intervention and Turnaround scopes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this process you will be a qualified Electrical Engineer with strong communication and coordination skills and have demonstrated experience working within a heavy production or manufacturing environment, preferably greater than 5 years.

  • Have a sound working knowledge of instrument and electrical assets, particularly their maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • You will have knowledge of RCA or similar investigative techniques. 
  • Be able to effectively prioritise and manage your time to meet your commitments and hold yourself accountable for the outcomes.
  • Being registered as an Electrical Engineer with Building Licensing Authority would be to your advantage.
